There are some conventional choices we make daily, that we do not realise could pose serious risk to our health. I say conventional, because like an ignorant manager of ‘’WE’VE ALWAYS DONE IT THAT WAY’’, without realising that things have since moved on due to research into the dangers of past habits. Let us look at some below:

Simple and Common Table Salt

Yes, the body needs some amount of salts to function properly, and we also need salt to enhance the flavour of our foods, but do we even take time to consider the type of common kitchen salts we use in the kitchen?

Research into the common table salts offered in most supermarkets pointed out that the salt have been highly processed and stripped of its minerals and other trace elements to make it easily marketable. It is also laced with artificial iodine (if it is an iodine salt), as well as caking agent that allows it to flow easily. Table salt is also found to contain a high percentage of micro-plastic.
